Hey y’all, welcome to Lovin My Daughter-in-law, episode #151: Back to Basics
With the new year just around the corner, you might be thinking about setting a big goal or feeling disappointed about the goals you didn’t accomplish this year. If that’s the case, I want to invite you to take a deep breath and let all of that go.
Here’s the thing, you don’t need a huge goal every year to make progress. And you certainly don’t need to beat yourself up for not achieving what you thought you should have done.
What if, instead, we focused on something simple and foundational to start the new year? For 2025, let’s get back to the basics.
Dr. Andrew Huberman talks about the five pillars of health and performance, and they’re a great place to start. These pillars: sleep, sunlight, movement, nutrition, relationships are simple but powerful. When you build a strong foundation with these basics, everything else in life becomes a little easier.
For January, in Connection Crew, my monthly membership, we will be all about exploring these five fundamentals. We’ll focus on practical, fun, and personalized ways to incorporate better sleep, more sunlight, joyful movement, nourishing meals, and meaningful relationships into your daily routine. The goal isn’t to add more to your plate, but to simplify and strengthen what already works for you.
When you get the basics right, it sets the stage for everything else. Better sleep helps you think more clearly. Movement gives you energy. Strong relationships make life more meaningful. These are the building blocks for a year that feels aligned and fulfilling.
So, if you’re ready to embrace the basics and feel more connected in 2025, Connection Crew is here for you!
