Resurrection isn’t just a story. It’s an experience. It’s the moment when life comes back online.

Today’s episode #218. Resurrection: When Life Comes Back Online
I want to talk about a word that shows up a lot this time of year, but I think it’s a bigger than one weekend or one story thing.
The word is: Resurrection
Most of us hear that word and immediately think Easter, church, or something that happened a long time ago.
But I’ve been thinking about resurrection in a much more personal, lived in way. Because resurrection isn’t just about life after death. It’s about life returning where something felt lost.
And most of us are walking around needing that kind of resurrection every single day.
So what does resurrection really mean? At its simplest, resurrection means: to rise again, to return to life.
Spiritually, it’s the miracle of Jesus rising from the dead. Proof that love, grace, and light are stronger than fear and finality.
But emotionally, physically, nervously, resurrection looks like: hope, coming back after burnout, softness returning after grief, energy slowly rebuilding after exhaustion, and trust showing up again after disappointment. It’s not flashy. It’s often very quiet.
Sometimes resurrection looks like: I’m still here, and that counts.
Now, resurrection is a nervous system thing too. When life hits hard, our nervous system often goes into protection mode: shut down, numbness, hyper vigilance, holding our breath without even realizing it. And in those moments, we don’t need pressure to bounce back.
We need safety.
Resurrection happens when the body starts to feel safe enough to come back online. That can look like: a deeper breath, shoulders softening, laughter sneaking back in, or tears finally moving. That’s not weakness, that’s healing.
Here’s another thing I love about resurrection. It doesn’t demand perfection.
Jesus didn’t resurrect into a life with no scars. The scars stayed. Resurrection isn’t erasing the hard, it’s carrying love forward through it.
More lovin says: You don’t have to rush your healing. You don’t have to “fix” yourself to be worthy. You don’t have to pretend it didn’t hurt. You simply stay open to life returning in small ways.
Let’s bring resurrection into real life. Where in your life could something be brought back to life? a relationship, your energy, your hope, your trust in yourself
We often think resurrection has to be big, but most of the time it’s tiny. Choosing rest instead of pushing, speaking kindly to yourself after messing up, moving your body gently when it’s been heavy, letting someone help you. That’s life coming back online. That’s resurrection.
Think about where in your life does something want to rise again? Don’t force an answer. Just notice. Maybe it’s: joy, trust, creativity, strength, faith, or connection with yourself. And maybe it’s not ready yet. That’s okay too.
If today feels tender, if you’re tired, if you’re in the messy middle… nothing has gone wrong. Life may already be returning in ways you haven’t noticed yet.
Resurrection has a rhythm and More Lovin knows the timing. Hmmm, something to think about.
Here’s to resurrection, to hope that breathes again, and always More Lovin. Have a good one y’all.
