Hey y’all, you’re listening to Lovin My Daughter -in-law, episode #139: Making Cents of Your Finances
What do you think about money?
Maybe it’s something like: I’m never going to have enough money, money is hard, I’m in so much debt I’ll never get out, I don’t have enough time to make money.
Or it could be something like, money is easy to get, money is fun, I love money.
The way you think about money does make a difference in how much money you have.
Money is extremely useful for lots of reasons. Here’s just a few: money can solve a lot of problems. Money can buy you time. And time is one of our most valuable resources. Money can speed things up. Money can buy you learning opportunities. And money can help us help other people.
For the month of October in Connection Crew, we will focus on money. I have a special guest teaching and sharing her expertise on October 1st. This is Liz Carroll, who I love and admire so much. For 25 years, She had a high achieving corporate technology sales career. She was the major breadwinner in her family and she knows how it feels to have the weight of household finances on her shoulders, along with the demands of a stressful career and an active family.
Liz retired early to focus on her encore career as a financial life coach and yoga meditation teacher. If you want to hear a little more about Liz, take a listen to our podcast from a few weeks ago, episode #136.
Now, if you join Connection Crew by September 30th, in just a couple days, you’ll not only get Liz’s financial wellness checklist, you’ll also have the opportunity to speak with Liz live on October 1st, where she’ll share her positive money moves with you, set you up for retirement, and answer any money questions that you may have.
Throughout October, we’ll dive into your money situations and uncover what is keeping you from making, saving, or giving more money.

An insightful quote I recently heard from Ayn Rand says: “Money is only a tool. It will take you wherever you wish, but it will not replace you as the driver.” Hmm, something to think about.
Have a good one y’all, and here’s to money cents, connection, and love.
